INZEN in the Emirati dialect means “good” or “well”, the design proposes adopting the main characteristics and advantages of traditional Emirati house in a modernist sense and adapting it to the 450m² plot in study Promoting inner zen, peace, tranquility and interconnectivity between the indoor and the outdoor whilst respecting absolute privacy, INZEN proposes an inward-looking villa, with “zero-window- to-outside” approach. The result is a cozy resort-like villa nestled in the Emirati culture and traditions. The proposal is modular, 3D printed, extremely flexible and customizable according to the needs of any family. Expansion is seamless thanks to the modularity that takes family growth into account. The design maximizes plot efficiency and almost eliminates the need for setbacks
