“Solar Portals - Celestial Confluences”

Commissioned at the Domaine de Boisbuchet - Lessac, on the 14th of July 2023, during the “Designing with the Sun” week-long design workshop, taught by Marjan van Aubel

The presentation was attended by Alexander von Vegesack (Former Founding Director of Vitra Museum, President of CIRECA & Domaine de Boisbuchet), Mathias Schwartz-Clauss (Director of Domaine de Boisbuchet), Marco Sammicheli (22nd & 23rd International Relations Chief Officer of Triennale di Milano), Marjan van Aubel (Author of Solar Futures) and 40+ designers, creatives and critics from all around the world

The installation used stored solar energy to project light on hay bales on the grounds of the 1861 Chateau de Boisbuchet. The bales were a prominent feature of the Domaine’s landscape and the French countryside in general.
